Business & Person of the Year Nominations
The Pinckneyville Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for “2012 Business of the Year” and “2012 Person of the Year”. Guidelines for nominating individuals for the Award include years in community, affiliations and personal merit. When nominating a business for the Award include years in business, contributions to the community and obstacles overcome by the owner. Please be descriptive in your nomination. Letters of reference for the individual or business being nominated are encouraged.
Nominations must be received at the chamber office by March 1, 2012. The awards dinner is tentatively scheduled for April. Celebrating 90 Years of Mardi Gras!
During 2012 our town will celebrate 90 years of Mardi Gras! The Chamber of Commerce is now accepting suggestions for the 2012 Mardi Gras Theme. (Entries are requested earlier this year so that ample time can be given to ask art students to create a logo for the event.) The winning entry will receive a $50 U.S. Savings Bond. Winning themes from the past 20 years are listed below and will not be considered for this year’s celebration.
