2017 Pinckneyville Mardi Gras 50/50 reaches a total of $39,062!

Braving the cold weather on Saturday, October 28th to attend the 95th annual Pinckneyville Mardi Gras paid off for one local resident. Cheryl Epplin spent her early afternoon on Walnut Street at the Vendor Fair and purchased 50/50 tickets from the Chamber tent shortly before noon. The total drawing was at nearly $16,000 at the time she purchased her tickets.  Chamber volunteers continued ticket sales until 3:00pm that day on Walnut street and 5:00pm at Perry County Marketplace. When the parade began at 7:00pm the total drawing was at $22,111. Chamber volunteers made two rounds in the parade selling 50/50 tickets, raising the drawing up to an amazing $39,062! The Pinckneyville Chief of Police drew the winning number 470140 at 8:33pm. Cheryl claimed a certified check in the amount  $19,531 on Monday, October 30, 2017 from the Pinckneyville Chamber of Commerce.


Tickets for the 2018 Mardi Gras 50/50 go on sale October 1, 2018.

***The fine print***

50/50 tickets will be on sale beginning on October 1, 2018.  Ticket sales will conclude after the Mardi Gras parade on October 28, 2017.  All ticket sellers have been authorized by the Chamber of Commerce.  The winning ticket will be drawn in the presence of local law officials and Mardi Gras 50/50 officials.  Winning ticket number will be announced the end of the parade.  Winner need not be present to win.  Official money amount will be verified by an accredited financial institution by no later than November 1, 2017.  Winner must claim raffle prize before November 30, 2018.  In the case the prize is not claimed, the Winner’s portion of the raffle will be rolled over into the following year’s drawing.  Rules and regulations subject to change without notice!
